As much fun as “firsts” are with your child, I am finding that “seconds” are even better. For instance going to the pumpkin patch with Jackson last year was fun, we put him on some pumpkins and took some pictures and he crawled a little bit in the “straw crawl”. Well this year he knows what a “pumkee” is, actually picked his out, got to try a fresh fry cake (and LOVED IT!!) and RAN around the “straw crawl.” It was funny as we walked around Green Acres he was sniffing all the flowers, touching all the “pumkees” having so much fun, as we got close to the halloween items for sale he slowed down, as we approached a bench with a stuffed zombi on it he completely froze, grabbed at my hand and yelled “mama up”. After sitting on my lap next to the “nice man” and he still didn’t want much to do with him.
Family walks this fall were a little slower than last fall, but more enjoyable as Jackson notices everything around him. The walks maybe slower but are filled with chatter and laughter. He also loves to help push “sissy”, climb on rocks and toss the leaves around. We visited the fish hatchery in Powder Mill Park, Jackson LOVED feeding the “fishy” and watching them jump and splash him while trying to get the food.
Jackson had a fun day with GiGi and me at Springdale Farm. He was mesmorized by the pig. He could have sat there all day and watched that pig. We were lucky enough to see the pig eat, whole apples, and roll around in the mud. I think Jackson enjoyed seeing him get all messy in the mud pit and if there wasn’t a fence he would have probably joined in the fun!
Jackson had fun wearing his transformer costume (minus the mask) to Zoo Boo and on Halloween. You can see from the pictures that it gave him an amazing wedgie in the front and the back!! He would say “tick or teat” when he went to the neighbors doors and LOVED playing with his candy once he got home. He didn’t quite realize it was candy and he could eat it, but he loved taking it out of his bucket and putting it back in, over and over and over again.
Rylans 2nd month was filled with more eating, sleeping, and pooping. She isn’t the eater that her brother is (or was). . .again just another way she is saying “Mom, I am not Jackson, I am me!” As she slowly became more awake and alert, she also started to smile a little bit more. At Rylan’s two month visit she was 9 lbs 12 oz and 23 inches long. She also started really holding her head up high and enjoying tummy time more and more.
Now Jackson has had numerous brownies, but like I said it’s better once they “get it” As you can see from the video below he “gets it” and LOVES brownies!
Jackson got a chance to film daddy in the video below. . .I pretty much had to include this video because Jared is pretty entertaining in it and if Jackson ever becomes famous in any type of film you would want to have his first project preserved.
Some video of our Baby Girl. . .
Enjoy the photos. . .sorry there are so many, I tried to cut some out, but in my opinion they are all just too cute!
