Hi! We are Jared and Tina Twamley. We may have met one another in middle school, but it took years (8 to be exact) for Jared to make a move. We started dating in 2002 and again Jared worked “fast” and asked Tina to marry him in 2009. One thing we learned to love (almost as much as each other) is exploring new places.
For our first vacation we trekked down to Assateague Island and Ocean City Maryland, where we camped on the beach and spent a couple nights in a very tiny, and somewhat musty hotel room. This week proved that we both not only enjoyed each other’s company around the clock, but also loved to travel.
Since then we have camped in several of the state parks in New York, the most memorable being Lake George. This is where Jared finally asked Tina to marry him. It was a romantic morning that started with a beautiful sunrise and ended with a flat screen TV. For those of you who do not know us or the joke about the TV you may want to read our engagement stories. For those of you who do we will not bore you as I am sure Tina has probably told it to you a thousand times.
Anyway. . .we finally tied the knot on November 14th, 2009. Since then we have trekked to Las Vegas to visit a couple childhood friends who live there and live the good life. They helped us experience Vegas like celebrities. In 2012 we visited the hometown of Tina’s football team, the Saints. We ate some wonderful food, heard some amazing music, and saw every sight in Tina’s guidebook (no really every sight, Tina loves her guidebooks). We decided that it was finally time to take a well-deserved honeymoon.
